Infocus is leading the pack in projector production. In 2006 alone it made $10 billion dollars of revenue solely on the sale of projectors and projector accessories. One of the most popular InFocus projectors is model SP777. Let’s take a look at some of the details that make this InFocus projector lamp in such high demand.
Image Quality This is not an InFocus LCD projector; rather it utilizes state of the art DLP technology to produce high definition images. The picture with this InFocus DLP projector has brilliant colors, extraordinary clarity, and remarkable contrast. This InFocus x1a projector also utilizes DarkChip3 technology to deliver iamages in 1280 by 720 resolutions. Brightness Despite early reports of InFocus projector power supply problems, this projector offers stunning brightness. Brightness is measure in ANSI lumens, and generally the more lumens a projector has the better quality it is. The SP777 has an ANSI lumens measurement of 2000 which reaches an amazing 15 feet. This high brightness level means that this projector is ideally used in small and average size venues where the light conditions can be easily controlled. Mounting This InFocus projector can be mounted on the ceiling, the wall or sit on a stand. It can be installed in a large variety of locations. This flexibility adds to its appeal. Another advantageous feature is that this model offers a lens shift of 15 degrees. This means that the lens will automatically adjust fifteen degrees up and down or left and right to make up for installation inaccuracies. It also has a keystone correction feature. This feature helps the projector make vertical adjustments up to fifteen degrees up or down. While this is a beneficial feature it does distort the image slightly. For this reason lens shift is a preferred adjustment method. Connectivity The SP777 also offers a wide variety of connectivity options as well. It has a M1 input that accepts VGA and DVI with the M1 cable. It also has two BNC inputs, and two RCA component inputs. This projector also comes equipped with a fifteen pin analog VESA HD15. It also comes with two four pin S-video connections. It also has a 12V trigger for motorized screens and supports HDCP. Specifications Other details about the InFocus SP777 have a noise level of 30 decibels, and the unit weighs 44.4 pounds. The dimensions of the projector are 8.5 inches high, 28.5 inches long and 23.7 inches wide. It can be supported at a maximum altitude of 10,000 feet and should be run at an operating temperature between fifty and ninety-five degrees Fahrenheit. |
